Teresa, Hewitt, visiting Baltimore Soundstage Mon, 2 January 2017

We had a clean, comfy room; walking distance to Baltimore SoundStage; everyone was helpful and friendly and we were lucky to have the breakfast in the cloud room - beautiful view.

Liked: The location; the room itself was cool and clean with comfy bed. Close to inner harbor; walking distance to everything.
Disliked: Nothing really. The worst thing was the alley way window, but that happens. I would recommend the hotel, no question.

Took my teenage daughter to a concert, the hotel was an easy walk to and from the show. The hotel staff was amazing and the room was very nice. The breakfast was yummy. We will definitely stay here again.

Liked: Friendly, safe, clean, comfortable.

Terrible guest service. Poor communication.

Liked: Nothing, didn’t get a chance to stay. Went to check in and they said they notified me that they canceled the reservation because the elevator was broken. I never received said notification.
Disliked: Poor communication.

Overall stay was decent but...

Liked: I didn't do breakfast. The size of the rooms were great and the location was very good
Disliked: The water in the shower was cold. When maintenance couldn't make the repairs we were moved to another room. In that room the mattress was horrible

Disappointing

Liked: The staff - albeit confused a lot of the time, was very friendly.
Disliked: Where to start. Perhaps with the check-in. While I had originally reserved two rooms (via booking.com), I had cancelled one of them 2 months prior (receiving email confirmation of the cancellation). Well on arrival the reception insisted that I had two active bookings, despite me showing the confirmation email. They further insisted I had more days booked than my booking confirmation showed. This may have been due to some issue between the hotel and booking.com, but should not be put on the customer to bear. I was initially told that I had to sort it out with booking and the hotel only went by what their system stated. In the end it was sorted, but it took a few hours of me waiting in the lobby unable to check in, after an exhausting translatlantic flight. The rooms are basic, which is ok, however the mattresses were horrendous. Extremely worn out and dipping in the middle - both my colleague and I woke up with back and head aches. And then there is the (lack of) housekeeping - the hotel informed me on check in that there was only one housekeeper for the entire hotel - well she did not manage to stop by our room at all in the 5 days of our stay. Only once and after specifically asking did someone come and at least empty the overflowing bins, but other than that nothing. The hallways reak of weed, and the smell penetrates into the bedrooms. On one occasion during our stay, the hotel staff (after ca 30 mins) of banging on the door and yelling on the door of the room next door (while I was trying to hold a online work meeting) had to forcefully break and enter the neighbour's door for what I learned after were drug related issues. The facilities overall are very run down. For being in immediate proximity of a large convention centre as well as a stadium, I would expect a hotel to have a higher standard - especially since it is not cheap!

Canceled booking but charge me...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: They called me the day of the reservation to tell me that my stay was canceled, even tho I confirmed the booking a week before. They have not informed bookings.com so I was charged anyway for a booking They canceled. I tried to tell bookings.com about this and they said they can't cancel it without confirmation from the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!
