A necessity to catch a...

Liked: It was close to the train station and the staff were pleasant
Disliked: The hotel seemed to be under construction. We walked in at 8pm to the sound of a buzzsaw and had to wait for a few minutes during this until someone at the front desk showed up. The breakfast was pretty gross and the dining area did not have proper flooring and windows were covered with tarps.The rooms bathroom did not have anything beyond a tiny hand soap and there was no hot water.There seemed to be the absolute bare minimum and felt very overpriced

would have preferred to stay...

Liked: bed was comfy, wifi was decent.
Disliked: every day I had to have my room key re-enabled for access. The constant construction noise and fumes from painting were headache inducing. Just shut down for a week or two and get a majority of the construction done

Would stay somewhere else next...

Liked: The location was okay, we had stayed there before when it was the Comfort Inn. Would not stay there again.
Disliked: Major renovations were going on. Floors were being torn out, very loud noise. Very few outlets in my room. No way to charge phones, IPads. Very thin carpeting without padding laid over wires going across the room. Could not get heat to come on in the room. We waited for an hour for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport. We had to call 3 times before it showed up even though we were told the shuttle was on the way and would be there in 20 minutes. Front desk person was very rude.

We love staying here and...

Liked: The location is lovely and so close to downtown. We enjoyed walking along the creek.
Disliked: We appreciate that they allow dogs but the pet fee felt a bit too high. Also would appreciate if the pool were heated.

Disappointing

Liked: Only 10 minute walk from the centre. The view from behind the hotel (ship creek). Tea and coffee machine available 24/7. A shuttle bus was provided for short journeys
Disliked: The poor state of repair of the hotel. Right outside hotel, homeless tents. The hotel was under going refurbishment, should have been mentioned at booking. The hotel was dirty. The breakfast was the same, sausages burnt, and scrambled egg hard and lumpy..(no stock rotation). The waffles/pancake machine broken.The room wasn't serviced in 5 days. Was charged late check in fees, altho I emailed and telephoned 4 times previously. The reception is manned 24/7. Complained about the bathroom tap dripping...the hole in the window and constant banging of the builders. Very disappointed

Liked: The free breakfast was good. Free shuttle bus to train station.Large room.
Disliked: Heating in room did not work, plus was not fixed after we asked. Location, the view from our room was a homeless camp.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed...

Liked: Nothing about this stay was pleasant
Disliked: Everything, it started with not getting the room I booked more than a week in advance. my bathroom door not closing, the room smelling musty and dirty. Remodeling and hearing them bang in the ceiling for hours at a time. To the homeless druggies outside at all times. The continental breakfast was a joke. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever!! I couldn't even charge my phone due to all the outlets being so old that my charger wouldn't stay plugged in.

Liked: Location was great near the train station. Room was clean.
Disliked: Waited over two hours for the airport shuttle. Called three times - each time we were assured that the shuttle would arrive in twenty minutes. Room lacked basic ammenities- did not even have a trash receptacle. Disappointed- expected better.
