Clean; cheap; good location; good breakfast; pleasant staff.

I spent too much, but not because the place was bad. Was more of a bad planning thing on my part. The room itself was great. Readers should be aware I have stayed in places where I was afraid to leave any skin bare while I slept for fear of I don't even know what. This place was clean and what I expected: a place to crash after a show. Looked like it had been renovated recently so everything was nice. If you like vegan cuisine, the area is littered with places, including a spot in the same building structure as the hotel. Parking is in a tiny garage under the building. The height is LOW - I am 5ft 2in and I can reach it on my tippy toes, so if you have a big vehicle, you're gonna have a bad time. Girl at the front desk was super nice.

Disliked: Price.

I called a day ahead of my arrival date to see if I could possibly check in early because I'd be going to an all-day music festival with no ins and outs. Though the first employee I talked to on the phone was nice and told me honestly that there was no guarantee I'd be able to check-in early but I could check on the day of my arrival, the employee I encountered at the desk when I arrived was aloof and a bit rude. She told me I couldn't check in early, and the earliest she would have a room ready was 2pm. She basically shooed me away for about 2 hours. I walked under the hot LA sun back to the hotel at 1:55pm to finally check-in, only for her to tell me that I'd have to wait 40 minutes until she could check me into my room. I was really irritated by this point. I took a moment to regroup and went back to her and asked if there was anything else she could do for me. She kind of looked at me blankly and huffed and puffed and finally said she could check me in to my room. This hotel was overpriced and the staff was flakey. Tell me either yes, I can check-in early or no, I can't check-in early and will have to wait. Don't tell me one thing and then change it the next minute. I don't think I'll come back here again.

Disliked: Flakey hotel staff.

Excellent location and good place...

Liked: This place is in a perfect location and they offer good breakfast, a lot of options.
Disliked: They should add the price of the garage in their offer, I didn't know you have to pay extra for that.

A great place to stay...

Liked: The location was excellent, right in the heart of Silver Lake, Los Angeles. The staff and service were outstanding, always attentive. The breakfast was truly delicious.

Liked: Arrived and we didn't have reservation at all. Took one look at property and realized we didn't want to stay here. Yuck! Looks horrible from inside. Left and found other accommodations!
