This hotel was the perfect distance and the most reasonable price for our three-day conference event at the Bridgestone Arena. We could walk to and from the downtown area and felt safe doing that. The breakfast at this hotel was really good - surprisingly! We felt we got a great value for what we paid.
Liked: The breakfast was really great! The location to the Bridgestone Arena was perfect for us to walk there and back (a little less than a mile) and we felt safe doing that.
Disliked: The rooms weren't the greatest; they looked "worn." But they were clean, which is most important.

Hotel was clean; staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was also very good. For the price I would highly recommend the Comfort Inn Downtown/Vanderbilt.

Location is probably the only reason for the cost of 1 room being so high, but the condition was certainly not worth it. The hotel needs to upgrade it's facilities - it would appear nothing has been done since the 80's.
Liked: Location.
Disliked: Old hotel in need of updating.

I was visiting Nashville to see a musical performance that ended up being cancelled the day of the show due to severe weather preventing the performers from flying to Nashville. I called the website immediately only to be told that the hotel ultimately decides if I get charged full price for the room or not. After having to call website three different days so they could track down the general manager of the Comfort Inn location I had a reservation at, only to be told they were still going to charge me full price for the room. I understand paying a cancellation fee but I am very disappointed by the Comfort Inn's decision to charge me full price for a room I never used at no fault of my own. I have been using Comfort Inns for years, and was very content, until now. As a result of this poor experience and lack of empathy from the General Manager when I spoke with him, I have decided to never again use Comfort Inns and I will encourage friends, family, and our logistic department at my company and our travel coordinators to do the same. There are plenty of other chains that would love to have mine and my company's business and thank me for it.
Liked: None at this time.
Disliked: No empathy whatsoever from staff or GM.
