Enjoyed it but was frustrated...

Liked: I love the location, accommodations and the pool. My family, who I come visit in the area, come over to swim. They enjoy it. The breakfast was hot and good.
Disliked: I just recently booked two nights- Saturday June 21st and Sunday 22nd, My plans changed and I needed to get home a day earlier. When I arrived at 3:30 Saturday to check in, I was not able to cancel my reservation for Sunday night due to the desk help was not able to do it from his end. (?) He told me to tell the front desk in the morning and it would be cancelled with no charge. In the morning the front desk said she was also unable to cancel the night with no charge, but was able to cancel with charging me a late cancellation fee of $28.00- I paid for Saturday night and the late fee. I would appreciate it if someone who does have the authority would look at this. I go to this Comfort Inn, Crystal Lake/ Algonquin several times a year and enjoy it. Thank you! Sara Smith McFarland

Disliked: Double set of Entry doors into the hotel that you have to pull while trying to drag a suitcase through.

Disliked: The drawer to the night stand would not stay closed. Breakfast hours should be extended until 11:00 on the weekend.

Cleanliness

Liked: That there was many accessible necessity businesses near by
Disliked: The jacuzzi wasn't clean. I always rinse off before I get in a tub. I did so, and even added bubble bath, and when I came out, I used a fresh towel and as I dried off, the towel became brown. To test it again I drained the jacuzzi and refilled it.. same result.The floor was damp everywhere and made our luggage damp as well. There was a fair bit of grime everywhere, and the sheets made me extremely itchy. And the bed was so stiff and bouncy neither my partner nor I slept well. Iver all I'd rate the cleanliness a 4 out of 10

Disliked: Rooms are a little dated. Could hear everything from the room above us. Breakfast could be better ( there was roast, waffles and bagels but no butter?!).
