Book Directly - Avoid Choice...

Disliked: We booked with Booking.com on May 15. Our reservation when to "cannot cancel" status on June 18. We confirmed our specific room with the hotel desk agent directly on June 19. On June 20, we received a call after we arrived in town around 5pm that our specific hotel room was given to someone else. Worse, we were told we could contact the guest directly to try to convince them to give our room back. Then we were told we would be ok, so we went to dinner. The to the hotel where we we told, sorry. Then we were told, wait two more hours and the room is yours. At 9pm , we were told, sorry still not yours. Booking.com and Choice Hotel customer service could not find us another hotel. We found one ourselves at another hotel at over 2x the price of what we had booked with Booking at Comfort Inn. No call back from manager or owner days later despite leaving my number.

Hotel failed with details in...

Liked: The bedding was very comfortable. The breakfast was above average.
Disliked: My rental car got run into while parked right next to lobby, no note. I asked staff to check the cameras and was told the video wasn’t captured. Upon my amateur investigation, I noticed the hotel’s courtesy van had white buckles on the bumper which matched the exact height and white scuffs on my damaged fender. That same van was out in front of the lobby after I parked my car. With the iffy data I had I decided to drop it and make a claim with my insurance company. The paint stripes that mark the parking spaces are very narrow, 8’2” compared to standard 8’6” which I believe contributed.

Worst trip ever

Liked: NOTHING AT ALL!! The staff was rude, racist and disrespectful.
Disliked: I HATED EVERYTHING!!! They have bed bugs and poor customer service. Pool was nasty and smelled horrible.
