Comfort Hotel East Melbourne

Comfortable, but needs upgrading

Liked: The room exceeded my expectations. After reading the reviews i was pleasantly surprised. As i walked in i saw a kitchenette with kettle, microwave sink and toaster, and own bathroom, the biggest king bed, which was very comfortable. The pressure in the shower was great, and the split system heater kept us toasty warm. We also had a sofa bed.
Disliked: Their was only one bin, so if you have a couple of cans then the bins full. The bathroom has some cracked tiles, and mould which was painted over. The windows have no fly wire screens, the sofa bed had cat scratches up the sides and it was covered in pet hair and food crumbs. So much we couldn't sit on it. The carpet also had pet hair all over it which stuck to my socks. My advise would be to have some pet friendly rooms. Not all of them. I would choose a room that didn't allow pets. I would expect to not have pet hair on furniture and carpet.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The condition of the room was not great. Plaster coming away from the walls and toilet was broken and had a bit of wood holding it together at the back.

Liked: Staff were lovely and the rooms was so very clean and nice.
Disliked: The rest of the complex was dirty, my partner found a bong near the elevator which made us quite uncomfortable. Parking was to tight if I had my 4wd would not of gotten in. Doors were also closed before times. Went to the car at 8:30 and door says he have until 9 but it was closed early.

Small Town Brilliance

Liked: The owner was there when we arrived, which was nice. the room was clean, bed comfortable and a hot shower. room had been updated too. Great for the one night stop over after a long day driving.
