Columbus Grand Hotel & Banquet Center

We weren't looking for a 5 star hotel. The room was clean; smelled decent; hot water; friendly staff. We had a very pleasant stay. Reasonable price and clean. The location is perfect for shows at The King of Clubs.

Liked: Price; location; staff; clean rooms.
Disliked: TV gave us a little bit of a problem, staff corrected very quickly.

Generally it was a great experience and would consider coming back.

Liked: The staff was very good and the room was nice.
Disliked: Had a man yelling and being very loud about 11p.m. and did not shut up for about an hour.

Good price; easy to find location; basic needs met. Old building but seems to be maintained. Overall adequate for an overnight stay.

Liked: Good price; adequate accomodation.
Disliked: Doors propped here and there.

Was decent for the price. Staff were great - very friendly.

Liked: Staff were excellent.
Disliked: Just the general area.

Before I list the problems I will say the location was great for going to Crew Stadium (10 minute cab ride) and the price was cheap - but unfortunately, you get what you pay for. There was a different smell in the hallway each day - my room had a musty smell, my buddy's room smelt like a sewer. No fridge in two of three rooms (you could see the imprints in the carpet where a fridge was); safe and coffee maker didn't work in one room; car keys found under the comforter in one room which meant they didn't change the sheets. Someone mentioned in a review that the rooms didn't have an iron - well my room had two iron burns in the carpet, so at one time they did have irons - maybe it was because of this the irons were taken away. Live and learn.

Disliked: Not recommended.
