Columbia River Hotel Ascend Hotel Collection

It was my husband's birthday weekend. We went to the concert at Maryhill which was great! Unfortunately when we got to our hotel room, it was outdated, and the bed was awful. We will never stay at another Shilo Inn.

Disliked: Out dated; terrible bed.

We enjoyed our stay here! It was outdated but was clean and offered all the amenities of any other hotel nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Staff, no elevator. When I went to the desk to tell them there was no soap in the bathroom. The lady at the desk said there was. I showed her a picture of two shampoos and one conditioner, no soap .the woman said she was by herself and was taking care of incoming guests and couldn’t help. I told her it wasn’t necessary right away, and could I pick some up in an hour or so. Sorry, can’t help. Could you maybe tell someone? That got a response. If I had known there wasn’t an elevator, I would have passed. 75 year old hips. Nice view, beds were comfortable.

Liked: I liked my room. It was clean and comfortable. I liked the view; the hotel is located in the middle of the desert.
Disliked: When I read the revies, most of them said that the stuff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the stuff was just okay. They actually lied about their pool. Before I booked a room, I called and asked them if their pool is heated. I was told yes. When I arrived, I asked the same question. I was told that yes, their pool is heated. Unfortunately, they lied for both times. Their pool is pretty cold and not heated. Their hotel is also not dog friendly.

Clean, restful

Liked: It was a lovely stay. Cold ac, pool up and running.
Disliked: I was told by one member that Continental breakfast was from 7 to 2.. but the next day I was told they don't do Continental anymore since the addition of the coffee shop. It was not the best surprise, but it was okay.

Nice stop off before reaching...

Liked: Restaurant was great, wait staff was excellent. Front desk went out of there way to try and find a pencil for me to use.
Disliked: Faucet in the shower was a little difficult to get on. Had to contact front desk before I could shower.

Liked: The staff moved us because the kind sized room smelled wet and damp.
Disliked: That the king sized room smelled damp and I had to be in a separate building from my kids.
