I had a relaxing night’s...

Liked: My breakfast was cooked to order and was excellent! The lady that cooked and served my breakfast was friendly and we had a nice conversation about the hotel’s history and the area.
Disliked: I have no complaints.

A very welcoming, peaceful B...

Liked: Room very comfortable, clean and warm (much appreciated as the weather very damp at the time). Lovely breakfast and I particularly liked toasters on the table, so you could make your own toast and have it really warm. Tea provided excellent and strong! Owners were particularly welcoming and understanding when I had a late arrival due to traffic

A lovely place to stay...

Liked: I loved the location. The view from my breakfast table was lovely. My single room was called the 'tack' room. It was small but big enough and very cosy and comfortable. The weather was freezing during my stay but was nice and warm in my room. I appreciated the tea/coffee facilities and the complimentary cookies and water. The ensuite was spotlessly clean - a very good new shower/ toilet and wash basin. My single bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was super - fresh orange juice, tea/coffee, cereals and or cooked breakfast and I loved toasting my own bread at the table...what a sensible idea especially as there is so much waste every year. A fresh fruit bowl was provided on the Sunday which was greatly appreciated. All in all I really enjoyed my stay.
Disliked: Nothing

Promised much but didn’t really...

Liked: The location and peace and quiet.
Disliked: The bathroom was full of little flies which was not good! The room smelt a bit fusty and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

A lovely, secluded and tranquil...

Liked: The friendly welcome. Showing me a place in a shed to keep my bike safe and dry at night. The unexpected separate kitchen room (outside and the next door down), complete with fridge, microwave, sink, cutlery, crockery, breakfast cereals, tea/coffee facilities, chairs, worktop and dining table. That was in addition to the tea/coffee facilities in my bedroom. Also a TV in both rooms. The kitchen room was probably a shared facility but no one else was using it while I was there. The single bed was very comfortable, There was a very useful and comfortable chair in the bedroom, so I could sit and read or watch TV. I don't like lying propped up by pillows on the bed all the time; also difficult to drink tea or coffee while lying down. The shower was great and everything worked well in the en suite, with hot water on demand. The windows opened in en suite and bedroom for fresh air and ventilation. The standard of decor was top notch. The place was quiet and in a secluded part of the countryside.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.
