Colony Inn

I would definitely stay there again if I were attending another event at Showare Arena. The money I saved almost paid for the entire concert I attended!

Liked: The price hands down was the best part! I could have walked across the street and paid twice as much. My room was very nice and well appointed. There wasn't anything I needed that the room didn't provide.
Disliked: Some fixtures (the sink) could be updated. The area isn't scenic by any means but the access to Showare Arena was excellent.

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: They canceled our reservation 2 minutes before we arrived because they overbooked

Disliked: This hotel is deep in renovation, and I don't think they should be hosting guests at all at this moment. There was construction material and dust everywhere. The fridge in the room was not plugged in and not close enough to an outlet to plug in. The staff was nice enough to let us keep our things in the employee fridge. The elevator license was expired. We got in late and in the morning, around 9am, the staff started calling rooms and knocking loudly on every door looking for the owner of a vehicle that was parked improperly. This continued on our hall for over 30 minutes until I asked them to stop as my colleagues were still sleeping. The street sign is for the new hotel, it seems The Colony Inn is changing into a hotel called 'Spark' and I hope they go ahead and remove this listing until the renovation is complete.

Liked: It is getting renovated. Is starting to look pretty nice. Staff was all very polite.
Disliked: Not really a breakfast. They did offer a bag style with a few items. A lot of things in the room were unfinished. But I think that is all to be expected with the renovations going on.

This place wants to be...

Liked: The bed was comfortable and the location was sufficient for my needs.
Disliked: Fridge is the size of a rubik's cube. No microwave?? No hangers. There was absolutely NO indication on the Booking.com site that there was extensive renovation going on. Any other 3-star hotel that I've stayed at has had a decent sized fridge as well as a microwave. To say nothing of a coffee maker, but I don't use those.

Liked: Fairly nice location and the room itself was nice
Disliked: Heavy construction everywhere. The lobby and halls were halfway done and there was dust EVERYWHERE.

Disappointing experience — the hotel...

Liked: There was no breakfast at all The hotel did not meet the expectations shown online. There was ongoing construction inside, which made the stay uncomfortable and noisy.
Disliked: Staff were not very helpful when I asked for support, especially after I lost my money. The ongoing construction made it even worse.

Would stay again if needed

Liked: Cleanliness, comfortable beds
Disliked: Lack of washcloths for booking of 2 people, no single coffee pot maker but to be fair there going thru major remodel. There was coffee in lobby. One bedside lamp not working, missing sprinkler cover and doors not replaced but again there remodeling. Not a quiet neighborhood due to all traffic but that’s expected for its location but easy access to highways.
