Liked: Location is great and access to water is great.
Disliked: Cottage smelled very musty, mouldy, plastic deck chairs broke while sitting in them from being outside too long and brittle. Canoe oar gave me splinters. In general up-keep is needed to make it a wonderful place.

Liked: Location on the water was beautiful and we enjoyed swimming in the lake. Very quiet and nice views.
Disliked: Small item- There was a coffee machine in the room but no coffee that we saw.

Lakeside bliss, charming hosts

Liked: We loved our stay at Colonial Bay Cottages in Huntsville! The cottages sit right on the lake, so morning coffees came with gorgeous waterfront views. Owners Bruce and Nicole are the warmest hosts—always ready for a friendly chat and quick to answer any questions. We only wish we’d booked a full week, but we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Liked: We loved the nice quiet spot with a great cottage feel that was exactly what we were looking for. It was great for swimming and we loved all of the water activities. It's close to Huntsville for all your needs for a visit through the local shops. But far enough to enjoy the cottage vibe and the lake was great.

Disliked: Access to the motel rooms is inconvenient to bring luggage and food supplies on the concrete stairs. I don't have issues carrying stuff up, but some people with physical limitations might
