Low quality/price ratio

Disliked: The hotel has a theme around old gym equipment for which I guess they charge more. Benches for breakfast are upcycled benches from 80s gym furniture and are uncomfortable, wardrobes are not-so-practical lockers. The walls of the common areas are dark grey and the environment relates to anything but comfort and cozyness. The staff is kind and helpful, but the hotel should be classed as a 2 star hotel in terms of facilities and finishings

We liked it!

Liked: We liked the location, the hotel decorations and the bar on the terrace.
Disliked: Because it is close to Old Town, it was very noisy late at night with drunken people.It would have been better to have a bigger bed. The rooms were small.Also, the breakfast was a very high price for what you got.

Overall, I loved the location,...

Liked: The location in old city nearby restaurants, market, miniature museum, traboules and hop on hop off bus stop (called Vieux Lyon), metro/funicular etc is unbeatable. Very comfortable with school theme including classrooms:)) we asked for rooms next to eachother and I recommend undergraduate rooms 11 and 12 for families that need 2 rooms because u can lock the shared hallway and keep the room doors open (see photo). Graduate rooms are the top floors and have nice views of the city. Breakfast was extra-I think 19 euros per person. Not a huge buffet but adequate and everything pastries, cheese, tangerines, etc tasted delicious and we ate breakfast at the hotel. Clean, comfortable and kid-friendly.
Disliked: The staff is very friendly and willing to help but I wish they were more knowledgeable for tourist questions.
