Coda Williamsburg

Coda is an excellent hotel, especially if you are going to a concert at Warsaw in BK. Less than 10 minute walk and close to many bars/restaurants.

Liked: Very modern hotel with great service.

This is a great, inexpensive hotel that's right in the heart of Williamsburg. A lot of great stuff is easily walkable from that location. The rooms themselves are functional and nice.

Liked: Close to venue; inexpensive; no frills; everything I needed.
Disliked: None at all.

One of the worst hotel...

Disliked: AC was not working for half of my stay. I texted their text line (both of them) to let them know of this. Mind you, they requested we text them for any requests and continually texted me from these numbers and did not receive a response. Then I began calling down to the front desk and never received an answer. Then I went down not once, not twice, but three separate times letting them know my room was 85 degrees and so humid it was making me physically sick and almost passing out while I was trying to work. Each time, they said they’d send a fan up or an AC unit up or an engineer up and not once did that happen. Onlyon the last day was the room comfortable enough to be in and sleep in. I was only refunded for one night plus facilities fees. Really totally unacceptable at so many levels and by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life and I’m not taking that lightly.

Liked: Location was great. Easy to walk to stores, bars, restaurants. Didn’t get to enjoy the pool but it looked good from my room.
Disliked: Overall it seemed a bit expensive for what you were getting. Rooms are nice but basic. Even though I had the dig in the door, my room wasn’t serviced during my stay.

Liked: The location is amazing to really get into and enjoy Williamsburg and Greenpoint!
Disliked: There was barely any soundproofing between rooms, the hallway, and outdoors. It’s in a heavy nightlife area and on the edge of the park, so it was expected to be loud but it was really lacking solid walls & windows. Our balcony neighbors were smoking and we could smell it in the room. Also, the air con was really struggling and there was barely a difference between fan speeds.

Liked: Their front desk and staff were overall friendly.
Disliked: I may be wrong with this information but being a hotel that has a pool in nyc is very rare and to close down the pool at 6:30 during the summer feels incredibly odd, especially during a heat wave. My biggest issue is that they had an issue with their ac and rather than call us to give us a heads up or even upon arrival, they just let us walk to our hotel to have US discover the ac was working. Had we had more time to figure things out, we would have booked a different stay.
