Dated rooms, food bad

Liked: Friendly staff, pub nice area
Disliked: Rooms are a bit dated,one room had mould, we booked a table for 9 people on a Monday night only to be told when we sat down, after being in the bar, that most things on the menu were not available, ended up with mainly burgers, but no salad or coleslaw, burgers looked like they seen better days, still charged full price, not good at all.

Nice pub-hotel in a convenient...

Liked: A nice clean room, comfortable bed, dog-friendly and easy to find, with a very nice pub adjacent with good beer (great pint of level head!) and a delicious good value breakfast.
Disliked: There is some traffic noise but then the location is also a big plus - it’s very easy find off the main road!

Liked: Good location and quiet
Disliked: The air con wasn’t working on the hottest day of the year and when asked to move rooms was told none of them were working. Mould in bathroom

Liked: Staff were really friendly and kind and accommodating. Tea making facilities in the room. Room was clean and spacious perfect for our needs.
Disliked: Bathroom door was off its hinges a bit but didn't affect our stay.

Would never choose this place...

Liked: Good location for Combe Abbey and reasonably priced
Disliked: It smelt of urine in the entrance, the bathroom had mould in it, serving staff in the restaurant were miserable and not very efficient. The grounds/ garden had various amounts of rubbish scattered around and was very poorly maintained.Food was not bad at all so can’t complain about that only the very long wait for it to arrive, half hour just to get drinks.
