Liked: Whilst booking.com confirmed my reservation, the motel’s office hours were until 6pm not 8pm as advertised online. Arrived at property and no one at reception and after hours number did not pick up the phone. On a busy weekend no other place available in town, very disappointing.

Liked: Modern facilities and well maintained. Location was beautiful.
Disliked: Cleanliness. Kitchen bench was not clean, had coffee marks and was greasy. Bathroom floor was not clean and had hair on the floor which means it wasn't vacuumed and mopped. Staff member was polite but didn't seem very enthusiastic to be there and didn't bother to explain where our unit was.

Great motel but beware of...

Liked: Roomy unit, well equipped, comfortable beds and great water pressure. Also convenient easy parking. It was quieter than expected on a busy road.
Disliked: Beware, there is an unexpected extra 3% electronic charge on the agreed booking.com cost if you are spending over $500. Our payment was not on a credit card but debit card and paid electronically but still incurred this.We just traveled in the South Island and never had an extra charge over the agreed costing on booking.com.
