Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre

Super comfortable and clean hotel...

Liked: The rooms are spacious and well stocked including all necessary bathroom items (ie body lotion, body wash, shampoo AND conditioner), a mini fridge AND a microwave (didn’t expect that!). The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and fresh. The highway is just one road removed from the hotel so proximity is super close without the road noise!
Disliked: Not that it was a significant issue, but our room was facing the inner courtyard and pool area which is lovely to look at (and super convenient if you have kids) but can be a bit noisy with the kids playing in the pool. Also, the attached restaurant has a flow over area into the courtyard which does create a bit more noise into the later evening hours. If you like the ambiance of the inner courtyard filled with tropical plants, you’ll love this place, but if you are looking for silence, you may be disappointed.

Liked: Breakfast not included anymore at the coast. Price for room was comparable to other hotels in the area but they all included breakfast.
Disliked: Will NEVER book with booking.com again! Found out at the hotel that I.paid more for the room than if I had booked direct. Also realized onsite that when I amended my reservation for 2 nights I paid $100 MORE for the 2nd night. I didn't notice on the reservation confirmation so that was my fault but what a slimy thing to do!!! I will NEVER use booking.com again.

Disappointing Stay

Liked: We had a lanai with our room. It was the best part of our stay
Disliked: The beds (2 of them) were uncomfortable. The TV was not easy to operate to find & watch regular TV channels. No guides on how to operate the TV remote, etc. The bathroom was in dire need of an extreme clean. There was dried fruit left on the carpet in front of the floor lamp. I spotted the missed garbage immediately, it was not in some hidden spot!
