Whisky tour.

Liked: Location. Historic building. Staff. Ambiance. Very good breakfast. Located on a main road easy to find. 20 minute walk to center
Disliked: Quite happy with this booking only criticism would be the shower in our room was quite small. (Appreciate this cant be changed but comments are sought)

Liked: Location & cleanliness was good.
Disliked: Breakfast was not exceptional. It was clearly done to a budget. The property looks lovely in the pictures but has had the old grandeur/ soul taken out of it. The shower was tiny. Not somewhere we would return to.

Liked: The friendliness and warmth at the property. Excellent spacious room with immaculate facilities and underfloor heating in a fabulous bathroom.

Most welcome and most relaxing...

Liked: In room ‘Henderson’ in a former Victorian mansion with off-road parking. Complimentary tea and coffee facilities, biscuits and soft drinks. Friendly welcome. Excellent WiFi and digital tv with teletext. Shower and bath in a tidy, functional bathroom with heated towel rail. Continental breakfast available in the dining room without ordering. Order a cooked breakfast the day before and you won’t be disappointed. Delicious; kept me going until dinner. Snacks are available and an excellent bar facility incorporating whiskies from the different distilling regions of Scotland. Quiet location and a restful sleep guaranteed. Keys are provided so that you can come and go as you please.
Disliked: The room tv is somewhat oddly placed, no doubt out of necessity but relaxed viewing from the bed is not possible. Cold water tends to run hot at the start. No croissants or pains au chocolat for the continental breakfast but I didn’t require a continental breakfast. No restaurant but this is, after all, a cross between a B&B and a hotel! Cool in the building but understandably so considering the reality that energy costs remain high.

So many extra touches!

Liked: Beautifully done up old house, we loved everything about it from the staff to the decor in the rooms. So peaceful and the breakfast was delicious. The bed was incredibly comfortable also. I had one of the best baths of my life too, what a tub!!
Disliked: Nothing - only wished we had stayed another night.
