No fuss or frills, but...

Liked: Lovely owners, nice breakfast, strong wi-fi, minimal rules and fuss and a short walk to the beach/amenities/attractions
Disliked: As a solo traveller, I couldn’t fault it. Does exactly what it says on the tin…

An excellent find

Liked: Excellant accommodation very friendly attentive exceptionally clean room beautiful breakfast plenty of cereals and full English breakfast and Yorkshire tea well impressed and above all excellent value for money nothing is too much trouble free WiFi we have rebooked to go back later in the year

Good

Liked: Location was good, the room had most of the things we needed, the family running it were friendly. The dad (sorry, terrible with names) tried to tell us about the places we should visit. The bed itself was firm which was great for us, just the way we liked it. The breakfast was OK. The beddings were clean, although the spare throw in the cupboard had stains on it. The toilet and shower were clean (although the shower walls didn’t seem to have been deep cleaned). We enjoyed our stay in this place but there are a few things for the host to consider.
Disliked: I would have liked to have shampoo and shower gel in the shower, these are basics and can be found in most places. The radiator was lukewarm warm most of the times, we went in Feb so expected the central heating to be set up more mindfully. Had to put on layers to be able to sleep at night. The mum tried to have a chat with us when we were leaving, this was extremely minimal communication compared to the other hosts we’ve had so far. I guess a bit more enthusiasm can go a long way. The shower was tiny, couldn’t turn around. The shower head would fall down if you’d try to change the angle so had to set it towards the wall and with the size of the shower, it was a torture taking a shower. I left my second one to when I came back home. On the second day of our stay, we requested a bin bag and were given a shopping bag instead. This needs to be supplied properly. The fridge was very handy but it stank. These are just suggestions for the host and for the readers to be aware of the shortcomings.

Liked: I found the staff very friendly and welcoming, the price of the stay and breakfast included was very good especially up against competitors the private bathroom was spacious and clean I would highly recommend this place
