Club Quarters Hotel Wacker at Michigan

Overall, I'd rate this as the best bet in downtown Chicago. Location is excellent, rates are very reasonable, and service impeccable. The rooms are not huge but very well appointed, clean, modern, and well maintained. Bravo!

Great location but elevator broke...

Liked: Location was very central! Right near the river walk and could walk to the Red line.
Disliked: There were only two elevators for 44 floors. Then they broke after the first night and it was handled horribly and was never fixed. Had to take the stairs multiple times. Staff was completely unresponsive.

Overall, the stay was convenient...

Liked: The hotel is ideally situated between the Chicago Loop and the Magnificent Mile, offering convenient access to both business and leisure destinations. Located just a short walk from the Loop, guests can easily reach major corporate offices, public transportation, and iconic landmarks like Millennium Park. At the same time, the hotel is steps away from the Magnificent Mile, Chicago’s premier shopping and dining district, making it perfect for visitors looking to explore the city’s vibrant culture and upscale attractions.
Disliked: During our stay, we experienced some discomfort with the bed, which felt worn and in need of replacement for better support and rest. Additionally, wait times for the elevators were often lengthy, which was inconvenient, especially during peak hours. To be fair, one of the elevators was out of service during our visit, which likely contributed to the delays.

The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure all my needs were met, always greeting me with a smile and offering helpful recommendations for local attractions. The great location was a major highlight, with easy access to downtown Chicago’s top sights, restaurants, and shopping. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city—it’s a fantastic choice for both leisure and business travelers!
Disliked: The hotel provided a separate blower to serve as a heater, which was a temporary fix but not an ideal solution.
