Club Quarters Hotel Wacker at Michigan

Overall, I'd rate this as the best bet in downtown Chicago. Location is excellent, rates are very reasonable, and service impeccable. The rooms are not huge but very well appointed, clean, modern, and well maintained. Bravo!

We had a fantastic stay, at a very reasonable price and even received an unexpected upgrade! I have been raving about your hotel to family and friends. What a first class operation you folks have in Downtown Chicago!!

Close to everything and comfortable...

Liked: Great location and comfortable bed. Beautiful historic building. Good wifi. Front of house staff were friendly and kind.
Disliked: Original room was much too small (couldn’t get my suitcase past the bed) and the lift to the 37th floor felt rickety and old. They upgraded me to a larger room on a lower floor which was good but still felt pretty tired inside. When I checked in I waited a long time to be served as no one was at the desk. View wasn’t great.

Liked: I really enjoyed the hotel location: in front of Chicago's River Walk, near the Magnificente Mile, surrounded by excellent restaurants, affordable ones as well. I stay at the same chain of hotels in Philadelphia. I must be honest: Philadelphia's is much better. The room in Chicago was ok, not superb. There was a microwave and a fridge which are always a plus. The bath was quite small. You are charged $ 100 as a deposit upon check in.
Disliked: You can't pay cash.

Best place to stay in...

Liked: This is the greatest location for visiting Chicago. The staff are great. Room was super clean and well-appointed and QUIET! I slept really well. The nespresso coffee was a great bonus.
Disliked: Nothing. The bed was comfy but felt a little worn. But again, this was quite minor. Overall it was good!
