Comfy rooms, great hospitality and...

Liked: Very friendly staff, fab location, and the brand new rooms in the annexe were very well finished - really comfy beds! Free parking.
Disliked: No instructions/guide book in the room to help work out how to use heating etc. Assuming this will be remedied once all rooms are finished

Liked: Great value great location lovely staff great food old wordly charm old style hotel...with olde world charm
Disliked: Bathrooms a bit dated.

Liked: Location was good, everything else was very average
Disliked: Umpteen narrow stairs to top floor room with no lift, shower took 20 minutes to only dribble out warm water (females - don’t even think about trying to wash your hair), shower had mould in the walls, floorboards creamed, light above sink didn’t even work, smell was old and stale - serious need to upgrade facilities

Nice room to stay for...

Liked: Room was nice and modern compared to other parts of the hotel. Older part looked and felt dated. Breakfast was good freshly cooked and the staff were friendly.We enjoyed bold as brass.

Liked: I was in the newer part , the room and bathroom were fabulous. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: It was very hot in the room and the air con was very noisy. The breakfast was only OK.

Disliked: The property and the room do really need a serious renovation, I have never seen something like this, the worst hostel in the worst city would be better than this place. It seems nobody entered in the room since 1950. Thus the pictures aren’t reliable at all
