Very good
Liked: Excellent stay ..Arrived as restaurant was closing and staff allowed us to order food a bonus after a long drive..Everything was in order with the room and breakfast was good..

Our stay in Close House.
Liked: After my wife had an operation I took her for a short break in Northumberland and chose Close House. The room was outstanding, so clean, and the wet room was 5 star. The hospitality was superb, everyone was so welcoming and friendly, making us feel so special.Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful
Liked: The location was fabulous. If you love golf then this is a fantastic place to stay. The staff were all very friendly. A small problem with the lighting in our room was sorted immediately.

Disliked: Would have loved a Pool/spa. Missing a trick! Little tip for cleaners…..beams need a dust and on top of wardrobe! High standards are a must for such a stunning place

Quiet, beautiful grounds, comfortable room/...
Liked: Location 30 minutes drive from Newcastle, quiet village. This hotel primarily caters to golfers, I don't believe there is a spa. We stayed in a deluxe suite, (we were upgraded), in one of quite a few properties on the grounds. Ours was the clock house, set amongst trees and shrubs, and the building reminded us of a hotel we love in France. The restaurant had a limited menu for both dinner and breakfast but was adequate. If you have walking difficulties or are disabled you would definitely need to drive the short distance, 4 - 5 minutes from the clock house to the club house where 19 the restaurant is located.
Disliked: The food choice. If you don't play golf and stay for another reason there is limited things to do there.
