Disliked: Price high for the amenities provided. Nice place but a bit expensive.

Disliked: Cars parked in front of hotel- difficukt to take a good picture of the front of castle with cars parkes in front.

A splurge for us, but...

Liked: Luxury accommodations while living in a true “castle” for a night!
Disliked: The neighborhood doesn’t seem to offer a lot, so I imagine many people are here on their way to or from the airport like us, but we knew that and the building and rooms are well worth the visit.

Over rated

Liked: Lovely location.
Disliked: It was our 25th wedding anniversary and I especially ordered wine for my wife on arrival. Paid extra for this unfortunately it didn’t happen. For the price they charge I was expecting attention to detail but it was very much lacking. Example. Guinness served in a large glass. Had to ask twice for tea at breakfast. These are small things but at those prices I was expecting better. Gutted it ruined our 25th.

A perfect stay in Clontarf...

Liked: We were delighted to return to Clontarf Castle and, as ever, it lived up to expectations. The staff were efficient, friendly and most helpful. We were lucky enough to be afforded a complimentary upgrade which we really appreciated. The bedrooms, the food and the service were excellent. The Art trail is a lovely feature. The ambiance of the hotel is really special and we look forward to returning.
Disliked: There was absolutely nothing to fault during our stay.
