Liked: Great experience from very helpful staff who changed our room to accommodate an injury. Boutique castle hotel setting with artwork, thrones and armour throughout. Good onsite food options also.

A repeat stay, with no...

Liked: It wasClean and comfortable. The welcome on checkin was, as expected, friendly & efficient but it occurred to us afterwards that there was no recognition for being a repeat customer, unlike that we’ve experienced across Europe.
Disliked: Breakfast was disappointing. The manager was not welcoming, the buffet was messy and somewhat ransacked with dishes waiting to be refilled (this took too long, so we gave up waiting). Clearly the staff weren’t trained or perhaps there weren’t enough of them?

Nice but overpriced - only...

Disliked: Very poor options for non caffeine overnight drink and bar area tatty
