Liked: Comfortable bed, great location, clean, friendly staff and amenities. We liked having the balcony :) We are from Ventura and always wanted to stay here.
Disliked: Except for the concert going on outside, this hotel was solid and peaceful.

Liked: The hotel was conveniently located to downtown Ventura and near the beach. The staff was incredible and very accommodating. This hotel deserves a much higher star rating. Thanks for a great stay!

Liked: Interesting building, a converted fire station. Different from most hotels. Right in downtown. Close to the. Each.
Disliked: The surface of the dresser was filthy from food & drink rings. It was obvious that they missed cleaning it. The room was somewhat dated, bedding needs to be brought into this century.

Liked: Good location close to town
Disliked: Hot tub was not working which is one of the factors in picking it. Breakfast was horrible, packaged Svenhards and Tang with a few breads and stale cereal

Liked: The staff was kind and friendly. The restaurant next door was amazing.
Disliked: The buzzing noise (we think from the pool heater ?) kept waking us up when it kicked in. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress was in poor shape. There was renovation down the hall and there was a musty smell on the second floor where our room was. It was a shame since the last time we were there a few years back we enjoyed our stay, but we were disappointed. I mentioned the buzzing sound at night to the staff as we were leaving and we still paid full amount. It is really a shame since we like the location of the hotel. We had planned to stay longer but left the next day instead.
