Hotel Description
Sitting on top of Cromer's spectacular coastline The Cliftonville Hotel is a cliff-top hotel overlooking Cromer Beach. With all of its rooms having an unrivaled sea view whether of the sea front or of the famously beautiful Victorian era Cromer Pier. Opened in 1897 this Edwardian Grade II-listed building has an elegant style and an excellent location. Having recently completed a full refurbishment we have kept the elegant Edwardian character of the building from stained glass windows to our original grand staircase. Our newly renovated boutique rooms now offer a modern comfortable and chic getaway. Our onsite restaurant has a seasonally changing menu we are very passionate about supplying fresh locally sourced ingredients to support our local businesses as well as provide our guests with the highest quality produce. We have onsite parking available at the side and back of the building as well as the roads surrounding the hotel offering free parking. Obviously during the peak seasons we cannot guarantee parking as it is based on a first come first served basis. The Cliftonville is in a prime location being just a quarter of a mile from the town center as well as Cromer Pier. With a variety of shops in our lovely town our hotel is in the perfect location. As well as exploring our seaside town there are many other activities available in nearby towns and villages too such as Sheringham Holt Wells-upon-sea and many more! As well as being on the coast we are located just 23 miles from Norwich City center. Norwich is one of Britain's most beautiful historic cities with The Lanes Norwich Market and Chantry place being some of the best places in Britain for shopping.

Cliftonville Hotel Cromer.

Liked: Room had a lovely view out to sea. The location was good for walking into town, and the Pier was close by.
Disliked: Car parking is limited and very tight.

Lovely view, very comfy bed,...

Liked: The room was spotless and stocked with everything you may need. The bed was very soft and comfy - like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, with nice soft towels. We also enjoyed the sea view more than expected, as we could see the lighthouse from our window.
Disliked: The shower wasn't satisfying at all and I probably wouldn't risk washing my thick hair, but hey - Victorian plumbing! This is perfectly understandable so I'm not complaining, but thought I'd mention it in case it's something you cannot compromise on.

Lovely character and charm

Liked: Warm welcome on arrival. Location was perfect and had a room with sea view. Room had a Kingsize bed and was very comfortable. There was plenty of coffee and different flavoured teas in the room. Overall the room was well equipped and nicely presented with white bedding, white towels, hairdryer and plenty of storage and seating within the room.
Disliked: That there was not bottled water provided in the room.

Super friendly and accomodating staff.

Liked: The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. I wanted a room with sea view rather than the car park, he changed the room for me. When I discovered the new room didn't have a bathtub, we went around the available sea-facing rooms to see if there is one with bathtub. I eventually went back to the room that was overseeing the car park - I wanted a bathtub. The hotel is really close to the train station. It is really easy to get to via public transport.
Disliked: This is not really a complaint, it is just some ideas for improvement - it would be nice if the booking system can specify rooms with bathtub - I really like bathtubs. The staff who helped me out said he couldn't see from his system whether a room has a bathtub. So we had to go around to different rooms.
