Clifton Arms Hotel

Excellent and will return most...

Liked: As group of 4 ladies celebrating a birthday the Hotel was Central to everything, clean ,food and drink excellent , staff were very helpful and that made our weekend
Disliked: Not that we didn’t like but the tables and chairs outside on the grass terrace should be cleaned daily , had to ask staff to clean the bird poop from them

Lovely stay & lovley staff

Disliked: Just needs a swimming pool

Really enjoyed the stay but...

Liked: Great location, loved the outdoor terrace overlooking the green
Disliked: Disappointed with breakfast, not hot enough, the tomato and mushroom were undercooked and lukewarm and bacon was dry and hard

Dissapointed

Liked: Didn't realise I paid for breakfast for the 2 nights we stayed & didn't see it on any correspondence or was it mentioned at check in. On checking out it was listed on the bill - I asked therefore if I could then have it that final day - I was told quite CLEARLY NO - even though this was before the closing time of 10.30.Might be my fault - but the gesture of say a slice of toast or a coffee might have been what most hotels we stay in at Lytham would have offered.
Disliked: Parking difficult and the hotel seemed more like a wedding venue than a quality hotel for independent guests.

Generally pleasant but a few...

Liked: Staff were pleasant and helpful
Disliked: Bedroom was jaded and noisy from the person in the room above - the floorboards were noisy.

Liked: love this hotel, location is great, staff are lovely
Disliked: we booked a double room, but the bed was only a small double, felt like I was going to fall out every time I moved during the night, so didn't sleep well.

Liked: Great location, building, bar and restaurant areas. Excellent and attentive staff in the restaurant
Disliked: Poor welcome and attitude of receptionists
