Enjoyable stay but be prepared...

Liked: Beautiful grounds and surrounds, especially during autumn with all the vibrant colours.
Disliked: Sound insulation was very poor, did not sleep well. Could keep hearing creaking noises from upstairs whenever someone walks or bathroom is used.Fine if you’re a deep sleeper

The perfect weekend winter (autumn)...

Liked: The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! We loved walking through the vineyard and sitting by the little lake watching geese as they fell asleep and then continuing our walk to visit the sheep and alpacas. At night we loved sitting by the bonfire and taking in the uninterrupted view of the stars. The estate is also close to town which is great - especially if the farmers markets are on. The staff were very friendly and if you love animals the estate was home to two beautiful cats mum and daughter Lexi and Scrumpy!
Disliked: A few things of note. Our room was right next to the entertainment room which housed a pool table and which could get a little noisy at night (despite the space closing at 11). There were chairs outside our ground floor room and during the day we had people come and sit in these chairs which meant we had to draw the blinds closed, losing the natural light. I would suggest an additional lamp in the room as the roof light was quite dim and additional face/hand towels in the bathroom (one hand towel and one face towel for two people is not enough).
