Noisy rooms

Liked: Hotel facilities were good and clean, and staff were helpful.
Disliked: Room we were staying in had a connecting door to the next room. The door was locked so there were no issues with unwanted access. However, there was no soundproofing and we were woken up each night multiple by the room next door. The final night was the worst with the occupant of the room screaming all night. We called reception who asked the occupant to stop, which helped for a while. But it continued again after a short time. Appreciate this isn't the fault of the hotel staff, but it is less than ideal. If you are staying at the hotel, ask for a room without a connecting door. If you do get a connecting door, avoid - it's not worth it in that situation.

Liked: Everything is quite dated.
Disliked: Pillows are dreadful. So uncomfortable. The kettle is beside a plug socket with "no kettles" written on it. Where am I supposed to plug it in? There was a distinct vibe of "we're taking your money and we don't care"

Liked: Stayed here a few times and it’s always been an absolute pleasure very clean hotel and room which is also large in size plenty of room and the staff are great.
Disliked: Nothing
