Liked: This property is about 1.5Km from the centre of Melbourne, so it is an easy walk to all the restaurants and tourist venues in the CBD, but to make it even easier, it is only a 200m walk to the nearest free city loop tram stops. The property is a little dated, but that is offset by the cleanliness of the rooms and the comfort of the furnishings. The on-site restaurant is of wonderful quality and reasonably priced. Even though it is very close to train and tram lines, the rooms are exceptionally quiet. But for us, the very best feature of the hotel was the staff. From the incredibly warm welcome on check-in to the front desk staff greeting us like friends during the stay to the friendliness and efficiency of the housekeeping and restaurant staff, every interaction was amazing.
Disliked: Our rooms only had a view of the office building opposite, but it was not unpleasant, and the fact it had mirrored glass gave a sense of it being a more open view.
