Good

Liked: It was fine for what we needed. It was a quick overnight stop as we headed to our destination. There were plenty of food options and gas around the area.

It was good enough.

Liked: I liked the location to JMU. The staff were friendly and helpful. Checking in and checking out were a breeze. It was good enough for one night for my family.
Disliked: The room itself was right at the door to the pool and parking lot and intersected with the hall to the lobby, so it was definitely noisy. The one window faces a solid brick wall and a huge window to the lobby, so if we opened the curtain for light from outside, it felt like being in a fishbowl for all the arriving visitors. The lighting was dim, even with all the lights on... Not a great place to apply makeup. The bathroom fan didn't function and and the hairdryer malfunctioned (almost caught fire), because the outlet in the bathroom seems loose and faulty We let the staff know. Other than those issues, the staff were wonderful and very helpful.

Exceptional

“Dog friendly” rooms are disgusting.

Liked: Desk clerk was friendly and efficient there were fireflies in the little grassy courtyard.
Disliked: Room smelled like mold. Floors were slippery, almost greasy. A dog had chewy off a good portion of the chair arm. Toilet chain kept catching and toilet would run. My dog did not want to enter room— he usually loves hotels. He refused to renter every time. Left as early as we could.

Exceptional

Liked: All of the staff were very nice and welcoming! They were very flexible when I wanted to extend my stay for an extra night and me wanting to be in the same room. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The halls were very quiet and I felt safe, which was important since I was a solo traveler. I will definitely be choosing to stay here again when I visit Harrisonburg in October!
Disliked: I have nothing bad to say :)

Nice staff and convenient location

Liked: Breakfast wasn't as extensive as other hotels we have been to recently.
Disliked: Lighting in the room was insufficient for reading or doing anything other than watching TV Nice staff

Adequate for a one night...

Liked: Easy in and out with exceptional security. Large grassy area to walk dogs, which was clean. Easily accessible to a variety of places to eat. Large parking lot.
Disliked: Shows a little wear and tare: window curtain needs repair--the wand and curtain were detached at one end. Shower head makes a whistling noise.
