Clarion Hotel & Suites Fairbanks near Ft. Wainwright

Good

Liked: Comfortable, clean and quiet.
Disliked: Room was very hot, air conditioning did not work and made the room hotter.

Needs some sprucing up.

Liked: Staff was nice, beds were comfortable, and breakfast had a variety of choices.
Disliked: The TV never worked for the 5 days I was there, the furnishes are very dated and worn. I was only there at night, quiet but a few nights/early morning there was loud talking and people walking around the halls. Felt safe but not relaxing.

Spacious rooms

Liked: Very spacious room. Could use some updates but there wasn't anything out of order. Great breakfast the first morning. Second day was just satisfactory but again, no complaints. I probably would have called it good but the first mornings biscuits and gravy made everything else lack luster. Staff kept things well stocked.

Disliked: The $200 incidental fee up front, wished I’d known about it first

Disappointing

Acceptable but not as good...

Liked: The room layout and size were nice. The breakfast and facilities were acceptable. The location hotel was good for getting around town.
Disliked: The facilities were a little dated and could've been kept up better. One of the elevators was in need of servicing as it made noises that were not normal.

Nice and comfortable

Liked: The property is good, with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Perfect location. Maybe the staff could be better informed, although they are all very friendly.
Disliked: Lack of information from the reception; some staff members didn’t know how to solve problems.
