Clarion Hotel & Suites Fairbanks near Ft. Wainwright

Disappointing

Good clean and comfortable accommodation.

Liked: Beds were very comfortable. Microwave in room and limited meals available in Office area to heat in your room. Tea and coffee available in Office area 24/7. Walk to "Downtown" area and bus stop near hotel to main shops. Be aware the bus does not run at weekends.
Disliked: Not many restaurants in the area.

Next time somewhere else.

Liked: Rooms are big, but dated.
Disliked: First there was no water and for the rest of the stay there was only cold water. Breakfast is poor. The whole place seems to have stuck into 1980's.

Trashy Hotel… Rude Restaurant Staff…...

Liked: Spacious room; breakfast worker was kind; hot breakfast included; night staff was friendly
Disliked: Trash outside of our window; photos are deceptive from time of construction perhaps- property has a trashy druggy feel; aged and dated bathroom and entire facility; Blue Flame restaurant was dark, hot, unstaffed, and wreaked of marijuana. The blonde tall Russian (?) lady working on 5/17/25 at 8:44PM was rude and yelling at me super nasty over me asking her for ketchup for our fries. She told me they didn’t have anymore - there were multiple bottles right beside her. She call the manager and told me I had to wait 10 minutes to talk to the manager - for ketchup!, and turned her back to me and would respond when I was speaking to her; I came to place an order in person and there was no staff at all. I had to call to place an order. The basement hallway smelled fishy like used baking dirty feminine hygeine pads; carpets were stained. The eggs at breakfast were watery and didn’t taste like eggs at all. The overall feel is like the hotel is very low end… not upscale AT ALL. Not worth the money at all.

Liked: Real good breakfast alot of food!
Disliked: I can't think of a thing even my taxi arrived quickly thank u

Good

Liked: Comfortable, clean and quiet.
Disliked: Room was very hot, air conditioning did not work and made the room hotter.

Needs some sprucing up.

Liked: Staff was nice, beds were comfortable, and breakfast had a variety of choices.
Disliked: The TV never worked for the 5 days I was there, the furnishes are very dated and worn. I was only there at night, quiet but a few nights/early morning there was loud talking and people walking around the halls. Felt safe but not relaxing.

Spacious rooms

Liked: Very spacious room. Could use some updates but there wasn't anything out of order. Great breakfast the first morning. Second day was just satisfactory but again, no complaints. I probably would have called it good but the first mornings biscuits and gravy made everything else lack luster. Staff kept things well stocked.
