Spacious room; comfortable bed; clean; great breakfast and very, very friendly staff!

Liked: Spacious rooms. Friendly staff!
Disliked: Nothing bad!

Poor - 1.0 out of 5

Lynn, Clarksville Sat, 24 November 2012

Not a place to take your family if you care about their safety.

Liked: N/A
Disliked: The room was in sad shape; no remote to the ancient TV; the bathroom was nasty. We stayed on the third floor and there were no hallway lights. I actually loaded my pistol in the elevator to make sure we made it to the room safely. Vending machines on the first floor only. Room numbers were written on the walls with magic marker instead of number plates. I will never stay here again, and it should be removed from all web sites as a place to stay.

Poor - 1.0 out of 5

Jamie, Louisville Tue, 2 October 2012

Asked to be moved and they tried to charge me an extra $50.

Liked: None
Disliked: Room was uninhabitable; construction dust still in room; one pillow per bed; no remote; no TV; 1 lightbulb in the lamp and $159 a night.

The beds were uncomfortable as well. Usually I don't have much to complain about and I'm pretty relaxed when it comes to pickiness about a hotel room. But this was hands down the worse place I've ever stayed. Especially for the price I paid. I would have expected this from a $39/night hotel, but not for more than $100. I had to go to the front desk at 2 am, and 3 am to complain about the noise from the next room. It never stopped.

Liked: The night desk man was very helpful and the pizza places are open until 5am. Pretty awesome.
Disliked: The daytime desk clerks were rude, the hotel was dirty, needed updating. Nothing in our room worked properly. The remote was missing a battery. There were cigarette burns in the bedspreads, the appliances didn't work, the sinks didn't drain, the ac never got cold, the curtains didn't block out light, and the noise was horrible the entire night.

Hotel was fine for 1...

Liked: Bright decor. Staff quite helpful. Nice breakfast.
Disliked: I expected it to be closer to downtown. Actually next to highway though noise not too bad. Staff run good shuttle service every 30 mins to downtown - so if it had not been cold and raining location might have been OK.

Not worth it.

Liked: The room we ended up in was comfortable and the view of the city was nice.
Disliked: Upon check-in, we discovered that our room was overrun with ladybugs. While ladybugs do not have germs and are not generally considered 'pests', it is still not acceptable to have BUGS in a hotel room. They were everywhere - ceiling, chairs, even in our bed. When we initially called the reception, the young lady who had checked us in acted like this was not a big deal and offered, as a courtesy, to move us to another room. She also acted as if our request to speak to a manager ASAP was unreasonable. She became more rude as time went by. When the manager finally came by, with a maintenance person, he moved us to a different room and promised 50% discount on the first night. Upon check-out, the same lady who had checked us in and acted rude on the phone tried to charge us full price. Had we not checked the bill, we would have gotten shorted. Besides the bug situation, I will also say that the location (while rated highly on Booking) is really nothing to write home about. While technically 'close' to downtown, it is not walkable - it is surrounded by highways and underpasses, making it an unsafe area to walk. Ubers / cabs are a must.
