Clarion Hotel And Conference Center - Joliet

It is an older hotel but was nice to stay in.

Liked: Nice breakfast in morning.
Disliked: Pool is outside.

Comfortable room, but poor attention...

Disliked: Entry light switch did not work. TV was less than basic: closed caption did not work, limited stations available, “guide” gave no description of any program and did not allow user to look ahead in time for upcoming programs. No chair in the laundry room. So many minor fixes needed that it seemed property was not being taken care of.

High expectations, low results.

Liked: The room was spacious. Great for parties on the main floor. The staff at the front desk were courteous. The breakfast was good.
Disliked: The elevator was broken, so it was a commute to our room on the 4th floor. Our bathroom was really crusty, so gross we had to shower with a towel to stand on since there were huge cracks in the plaster. There was no fan for the bathroom, so the room got very hot and humid anytime someone used the water. The AC was temperamental, either freezing or wouldn’t turn on. The breakfast hall was very dark and the food station was cramped. The pancake machine was broken. The pool advertised online has been closed for 5 years. The cost for a night stay was too expensive for the quality.

Reasonable! Exit off the interstate...

Liked: Breakfast was good despite the waffle iron was out of service.
Disliked: Mattress was too hard for my taste.Toilet flapper valve chain fell off due to rusted handle lever.

Bad booking or worst hotel

Liked: It started out great the lobby is beautiful
Disliked: I'm not sure if booking with a third party is good with the hotel they gave me a room with no entry light the elevator wasn't working the power went out and the staff had no clue what to do ,they couldn't find no other rooms but was still checking in new guest with no power and they called it a convention center if those rooms all look like that you better off staying at the motel 6

Liked: 1. No hot water2. Poop in toilet seat3. No coffee packets in the room4. One of the outlets/ lights didn’t work5. Pool out of service 6. Staff was rude7. No shampoo in the room And I mentioned all this and all they could do is give me $25 back after I spent $260 for 2 days! Would recommend anyone to find a different hotel.
Disliked: Just about everything!
