Staff was friendly and very helpful with how to get around the town. Room was very clean and quiet. I will revisit.

Great hotel for the price,...

Liked: This hotel was one of best rates in town, and it’s In an awesome location close to pebble beach, 17 mile drive, Monterey Bay, etc. Overall nice small quiet hotel in great location.
Disliked: Breakfast was very limited but not bad, room was very small but nice for 1-2 people max. One complaint was it gets noisy from guests above on second floor.

Disliked: Breakfast at 7:15 never happened. 7:30 or after. We had made other reservations so we needed to eat an be on our way. The door was locked until after 7:30.

Nice location but the clerk...

Liked: The rooms and location are nice.
Disliked: While the rooms (apart from the rickety toilet) and location were really nice, our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by the worst service we experienced on our whole trip through California.For context, I was traveling with my girlfriend and my parents.The woman at the check in was already not very friendly when we arrived and barely welcomed us. At the next morning, the phone rang in our room. It was the hotel clerk, telling us to please come down to help communicate with my parents.They were sitting in checkin area which doubles as a breakfast room. The food variety was limited to the bare minimum with basically a waffle maker, coffee, and two varieties of juice and cereal. No eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. were to be found. The small area is also missing tables and seating apart from two more decorative chairs.The issue the clerk apparently had was that my parents used the door connecting the checkin room with the adjacent patio.The clerk who identified herself as Veronica was complaining rudely and even loudly to my parents not to use that door and to rather go use the main entrance and walk around to the patio so that it doesn’t get cold inside. This was absolutely unacceptable.Since it was only around 50 degrees outside, sitting at a table in the patio was not really an option. The clerk, again in an unfriendly manner, told us to take our breakfast to our rooms, then. Bear in mind this was one of the most expensive stays on our vacation and we never had any complaints with anyone before, even at much cheaper places.We did, but two of us had to sit on the floor because there is only a sofa seating two people in the room and we wanted to have breakfast together.Veronica, please work on your attitude or get into another line of work.
