Liked: Location. New room - 2nd & 3rd night was quiet / greatFront desk clerk "Dag" was fantastic. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: 1st room / 1st night was horrible. It was situated right above a Tram / bus stop that ran all night. Room was hot during the night. There were controls, but they didn't work.Fika was poor. Dinner was unappetizing for 2 nights, out of 3, for my husband. He ate elsewhere, outside of the hotel.

Exceptional

Liked: There is nothing not to like. The check in was very easy, we were on the 7th Floor, where the magic happens (dinner and fika). We arrived just in time for dinner and we had breaded turkey, with vegetables, some spreads, pepper and tomato soup, coffee and water. Every evening the dinner was very good, one day there was pork, potatoes and vegetables soup, and another we had fish and chips and fennel soup. The fika was ok, we had the same cake on 2 days and coffee.The breakfast was the best I have ever had, with everything you could possibly want, including raw honeycomb, fresh bluberries, salmon, lime and ginger shots.The room was big, with 2 bathrooms, one with a toilet, one with a bath. The shower was perfect, the room with the bath had floor heating and Rituals products.On our last day, we left our luggages there, we came to pick them up and asked if we could spend another our at the reception. They were very welcomming, they even invited us to have a coffee or a tea, while we were waiting to leave.All in all it is a really nice hotel.

Liked: We had a great stay. The staff were lovely, especially with our 2-year old. Our room was spacious with plenty of room for the the wee one to run around. The breakfast buffet was delicious and extremely generous, served in a gorgeous room. The dinner was also very good - we had read mixed reviews but honestly it was great value for money. While there may not be a menu as such, the buffet included a mix of soup, salads, meat or fish. Unless you are on the fussy side, you will always find more than enough to put a generous dinner together. The location is supercentral, a few steps away from the central train station and well connected to other parts of Oslo.
Disliked: With the exception of the bathroom, the room decor was just a tad dated and could do with a refresh. There isn't a bar within the hotel but there are plenty of options in the neighbourhood.

Disappointing

Liked: Great Breakfeast and small but tasty dinner.
Disliked: We asked specifically for a quiet room. In Room 513, from 10pm to 5am you could hear the music from the club below through closed windows. No Sleep without earplugs.

Amazing breakfast, great value for...

Liked: We absolutely loved the half board, breakfast was out of this world, super wide selection of everything from fruits, vegetables to meats and pastry. There was also option for small charge to take away for lunch. Dinners were also very tasteful plus served at the beautiful lounge. Location of the hotel is more than convenient, right in the city center and close to train station/shopping centers. We also loved the tasteful decoration of the rooms and the common areas. Super cozy + extra points for the heated floors in the bathroom and the small heater in the room! :) If we ever come back to Oslo we will be sure to stay here, nowhere else :)
