Liked: Perfect location at walking distance of the centre. Traffic and parking can be very difficult in Lille so the option to park (and use elctric charging point) at the hotel is very convenient. Charming hotel and very friendly staff.
Disliked: Rooms overlooking the street in front can be noisy in weekend nights

Lovely hotel to stay at, and an ideal location for the attractions of Lille.

Liked: It is an old hotel (in a nice way), lots of character. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, but equally the old windows (which look beautiful) did not open. Years of paint I suspect.
Disliked: Breakfast was very good but at Euros 30 per head rather expensive

Lille is a great destination, lots going on and we enjoyed looking around the city.

Disliked: Breakfast: We ordered a pot of coffee for breakfast, it was an item on their printed menu, to be told that they didn't have any. We stayed three nights asked every morning and they did not manage to attend to this. The restaurant for dinner was very expensive and also rather poor.

Everything we were looking for

Liked: Our bedroom was beautiful and over looked the garden and St Catherine's Church. The hotel is really well placed and the list of recommended restaurants was a winner. The staff were very helpful before our stay.
Disliked: The breakfast is nice but over priced. The building is wonderfully atmospheric but it's age comes with some creeks and rattles.
