Excellent stay - excellent location

Liked: We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect – close to everything yet quiet and relaxing (when you close the windows). The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. I had a special request to be placed on a higher floor, and not only did they fulfill that, but they also made sure our room was far from the bar area so we could enjoy some peace and quiet. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness truly made a difference. Highly recommended – we’ll definitely return!

Liked: Excellent LocationThe hotel’s location is truly unbeatable — just a 1-minute walk to the subway, 5 minutes to Times Square, and about 15 minutes to Central Park. Super convenient for exploring NYC.Charming Interior DesignThe decor and ambiance throughout the hotel are lovely and thoughtfully designed. It feels modern, cozy, and stylish.Practical AmenitiesHaving tap water available on every floor was a small but very welcome touch. It’s great for staying hydrated without constantly buying bottles.Tasty BreakfastThe breakfast quality was solid. Fresh and flavorful, with good basics like bagels, fruit, and croissants (though more on this below under cons).Clean and Tidy Common AreasThe overall cleanliness of the hotel, including the lobby and dining area, was up to standard.Friendly Front Desk StaffThe reception team was generally very kind and helpful, especially during check-in and when we had questions.
Disliked: Inconsistent HousekeepingThis was the biggest issue. Our room was only cleaned 3 times during a 9-night stay. Despite requesting housekeeping directly from the front desk (twice in one day!), the room remained untouched until we asked again in the evening. We also had to request clean towels ourselves, which should be routine.Limited Breakfast VarietyWhile breakfast tasted good, the menu didn’t change at all during our stay. It became repetitive very quickly.No Breakfast on WeekendsOnly brunch is offered on weekends, which starts later than regular breakfast. This is inconvenient if you have early plans or want to start your day earlier.Slow Refills at BreakfastWhen food items ran out (e.g., bagels, fruit, croissants), it took quite a long time for them to be replenished. This led to frustration and limited choices during peak breakfast hours.Unpleasant Payment ExperienceThis was quite stressful. Charges were deducted daily from our linked credit card. When my card temporarily had no funds and I informed the front desk I would update it ASAP after charging my phone, they said it was fine. But the next morning, I received a message that access to our room would be limited if I didn’t pay immediately — for a relatively small amount (~$65). Later, at breakfast, I was publicly asked by a staff member to go to the front desk to settle the payment. This was embarrassing and should have been handled more discreetly.Very Small Rooms with No ClosetThe rooms are extremely compact, and there is no closet. For a 9-night stay, this made storing luggage and clothing quite difficult and inconvenient.

All in all, it was...

Liked: I really liked the location of the hotel, and the views were amazing. You could also see that the staff made a genuine effort to be helpful.
Disliked: We knew that the rooms would be smaller than usual, and we were prepared for that. However, I think the hotel has more potential. For example, there is a picture on the wall, but I believe it would be more practical to use that space for a shelf. I also felt that at least two additional hooks were missing in the bathroom.I stayed for nine days, and by the end - with a few shopping bags - it became quite cramped in the room. I didn’t have any space to put my things except on the floor. Because of the limited space, it also tends to get dusty over time.
