Simple, no frills hotel with...

Liked: Incredibly nice staff who went above and beyond to help me when I was incredibly stressed on vacation. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was great the shower was larger than most i’ve seen in European hotels. This is kind of a bare bones hotel though so the rooms aren’t very big and there’s not many service options which is totally fine! Just something to keep in mind :)
Disliked: The walls were pretty thin so I could hear everyone coming and going and any conversations that were above a low talking level. By the beds there weren’t any outlets besides the ones for USB chargers and so if you’re from outside of Europe you probably use USB-C more so just keep that in mind. I know I went during Fringe so it was rather expensive but for the price I was expecting a little bit more, but overall very satisfied.

Liked: Staff on reception were friendly
Disliked: It was a stinky (Burger shop smells floating up from below into the window) prison cell without a fridge

Excellent stay in a hotel...

Liked: Excellent location, close to the centre of Edinburgh. Lovely clean and modern room. Bed was amazingly comfortable. The staff are on hand 24 hours and were excellent. Polite, organised and efficient. The staff looked after our bags after we arrived early and even took them up to our room. A very pleasant surprise when we returned to officially check in. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Fabulous value for money.
Disliked: Nothing. Everything was excellent.

Very good

Liked: Hotel is in a great location. Staff were very friendly and always on reception which was nice to see. We had two rooms with a double bed and bunk bed in each. The rooms were clean and had everything that was advertised.
Disliked: One of our rooms was more spacious than the other.
