Liked: Absolute CBD location. Room was clean and big but this is an old building so remember that. Hotel was quiet
Disliked: Does not appear to have a lot of security

Exceptional

Rooms weren’t cleaned correctly but...

Liked: Great location and good price. Beds were very comfortable. All sheets/towels were clean. Plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery were also clean. Fantastic water pressure and temperature. Right next door to convenience stories and a mcdonald’s. Close to train stations and other stores.
Disliked: The room was filthy. Hair still on the floor from previous people, room wasn’t vacuumed properly. A layer of dust covered everything. Carpet was noticeably stained from walking tracks and dirty shoes over the years. Exhaust fan in bathroom was covered in dust and lint. Shower needs a proper deep clean as the grout lines were dirty and almost mouldy. The doors on the tv unit were also stained and gross. Walls had different substances on it, which appeared to be food or drink stains. Door chain was broken, fortunately I was able to repair it as best I could for my own peace of mind. Walking in to the hotel was quite sketchy as it’s one of those “hole in the wall” lobbies. Elevator was outdated and also gross. Thin walls meant I could hear the people next door blasting music at 1am. Fortunately couldn’t hear much of traffic and people outside of the hotel. The room was quite cheap ($100 for a monday night stay) so i wasn’t expecting anything fancy, but I was expecting a vacuumed floor at the very least. Venue is in need of a good upgrade, better lighting and new carpets throughout and a redone lobby to freshen the place up. I would likely only stay again if I was in a pinch but definitely not my first, second or third option.

Disliked: It was not clean, there was night works that kept me awake, tiles in the shower were cracked, had to move the cabinet to get to PowerPoint to turn on the microwave, behind the cabinet it was thick with dirt and dust, I wrote in the dust on the cabinet. Window was full of dust and dirt.

Disliked: It was dirty, dusty and not well maintained

Very dirty and not welcoming.

Disliked: The room is generally dusty and hasn’t been made clean to welcome new guests. I have taken photos for evidence. -Dirty entrance( leaves and dust in the corridor)- Dirty lifts, in front of door lifts and in the floor corridor.- dirty curtains( could be molds and stains)-split system heater not working( video evidence)- accumulated dusts in several parts such as bathrooms, room carpet, windows- Hair in bedside drawers- dirty microwave which is unhygienic.

Perfect location and price for...

Liked: Perfect location. close to work and the train station and easy to get to. The bed was a larger single bed and was very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The room faced onto busy Swanston Street and was a little bit on the noisy side. The room was pretty clean although there were some spots that could have been better. Mostly good though.
