Great
Liked: Very tidy and clean
Disliked: Very tidy and clean room for a single room perhaps bigger cups or mug would have been good. However I would recommend to anyone visiting city for a short term it meets anyone travelling alone good security.

Great location. Probably more like...
Liked: Location. Easy to get to and move around the city via public transport or walking.Very basic. Queen and 2 singles, small table, 2 chairs, open closet, fridge, basic tea/coffee provisions, small refrigerated air con. Shower over bath. Perfect if you're just after somewhere to sleep, not so much for relaxing. Bed was comfortable enough, access easy.
Disliked: Quite dusty. No remote for TV. Behind the toilet hadn't been cleaned at all.Very dated. And not sure the carpet was actually damp or just stained.

City centre hotel, perfect for...
Liked: Situated right in the centre of the city, location wise it was brilliant and very handy for what I needed to do. Beds, pillows and sheets were comfortable, and despite being on a main city strip with trams, I hardly heard any noise during the night. Room was decent size.
Disliked: Stayed in a "Corporate Queen Room", but it was hardly that! The entrance and check in put me off immediately, was very dodgy and seedy feeling. Elevator hasn't been maintained for god knows how long, made so much noise and was quite scary to go up and down in. Our room seemed clean enough, but saw layer upon layer of dust behind the toilet, bed, and bathroom exhaust fan. Fridge was unplugged when we got there and had a foul smell when we opened it up, the milk inside we didn't dare try. You needed a code to enter the building after hours, whether that worked or not I don't know, but all it had on our room door was an old push in button lock, which would hardly stop anyone from getting in.

Do not recommend - is...
Liked: Very little - the only positive part was that it was located in an accessible area.
Disliked: Where do I start. The cleanliness was atrocious - there was thick layers of dust all over the room and throughout the halls. There was what I hope isn’t blood over a curtain, literal mould growing within the shower combined with no ventilation, dirt littered throughout the halls and the room I was in. The mattress was covered in holes and smelt. The singular staff member was also rude and abrupt. When arriving in the room late at night - there was no staff and a $200 call out fee for “non-emergency related calls” which meant I wasn’t able to speak to them regarding the room. Quite frankly I’m unsure how this has passed motel standards. There was also other families that had similar experiences regarding cleanliness of the rooms.

Great price for the location...
Liked: The location is great, situated on Swanston Street, right near Fed Square and Flinders Street Station, with Trams at the door, and a wide range of food choices.A short distance to all the activities the city has to offer. The shower had great water pressure and was hot.
Disliked: Graffiti was visible inside the lifts, and the bar fridge wasn't even turned on, emitting a smell that suggested it hadn't been used in quite some time. Luckily, we were only staying overnight and didn't need it to keep cold.
