City Square Motel

Bloody awful! Hands down the...

Liked: The location was the ONLY positive about the property!
Disliked: The cleanliness, the fact that there was construction happening that wasn’t disclosed when booking, there was (old) coffee sachets & cups & toaster-no utensils. The list goes on! There air conditioner was broken & made a tapping noise for the entire night-barely any sleep happened, almost impossible with the uncomfortable bedding anyway!

Awful stay ☹️

Liked: Location was amazing perfect spot in the city. The towels and stuff were clean. The room was nice and dark of a night and was nice and quiet.
Disliked: Wow where do I start, firstly I wished I read the comments first but was after something cheap. The elevator was scary. Getting off elevator there was bad smell in the hallways walked upto our room where there was one of our face washers jarred in the door weird. Room smelt and was extremely dirty. The fridge kept falling out the cupboard everytime try to open it. The shower was dirty and a massive crack in the mirror. We was there 3 nights and couldn't be bothered changing places as we was there two days before Easter Friday. So then we read some other comments about being worried of having pple who wasn't supposed to be in the building so we moved the couch bed and omg there was so much dirt etc on the floor was awful so we took the pillows off the bed and omg so much stuff under there also just filthy. I don't recommend this place at all I'd find something somewhere else. Least we didn't see a mouse. And for 3 days only two towels and one face washer other one was the door holder.

Liked: Convenient location
Disliked: Dirty, mould, and other people's hair in shower, thongs were required, Dust on everything, TV turns on, that's it , no channels can be watched, no sound on TV, controller don't work properly as functions were different to the button's. Air conditioning just worked, The hand basin only had hot water, no cold, not good, trying to clean teeth.Beds were so soft and springs coming through. Carpet needed a good vacuum. A recorder under the lounge, No teaspoons, pillow cases had bad stains . Sadly, it's not a nice place to stay.

All good for our needs

Liked: Room was adequate for needs, beds comfy and A.c worked. Shower was hot.
Disliked: Beds were clean, windows and shower a little grubby, it was also a little noisy.

PERFECT LOCATION

Liked: Perfect location in the CBD. Trams stop outside the motel. Flinders Street Station one block away. Handy to Southern Cross Station & Skybus to Melbourne Airport, Theatres, Rod Laver Arena, Marvel Stadium and Queen Victoria Market. Lots of Restaurants close by. Everything supplied to make for a comfortable stay whether for a night or a week. Have stayed here several times .

Good stay for short visit

Liked: The location of the motel is perfect. It is right in the CBD close to important places of interest and a great range of food! It is also close to Flinders Street Station, which makes it ideal for anyone wanting to be in the city.
Disliked: The property is a bit older as compared to it's new look in the pictures. It requires some upkeep. My room did not have access to natural light which felt a bit claustrophobic. Also the windows in the rooms look like they haven't been cleaned for a while.
