Old Hogwarts hotel

Liked: Overall, a good hotel: clean, tasty breakfast, good location, and parking available.
Disliked: All the floors and doors creak a lot. The hallway smells musty, like something old. The building seems very old. The toilets are shared, located outside the rooms. In our room, the shower was placed “with a view of the beds,” which felt very poorly designed. In the second room we booked, everything was fine, with a separate shower.

Liked: The breakfast was according to our expectations. The staff was nice and friendly, the wifi was strong. Everything was pretty clean.
Disliked: It was a bit noisy, especially at night.

Overall this place is value...

Liked: This place is value for money in Berlin. Very conveniently located right next to the train station. Free parking on the street if you are lucky, continental breakfast included.
Disliked: Access to the property is not straight forward, very old building. No elevator, parking is not easy to find, you have to pay extra to park at a garage, very noisy neighborhood and streets are not clean.

Liked: 1. It's close to the S-bahn station from where you can easily go to Potsdam or the city center.2. It's clean.3. The breakfast is good.4. The price is low.
Disliked: The room was old and not soundproofing.

Liked: Very good location, if you want to use S-Bahn either to the downtown or Potsdam. The room is pleasant, breakfast is good, staff is kind and helpful.

A good starting point to...

Liked: The breakfast was good, abundant and rather varied; temperature in the room was ok and at night there were no sounds from the outside, nor from other guests. The bathroom was tiny but functional, and one can take a shower without flooding the floor. Everything was quite clean. The hotel is quite close to Charlottenburg metro station. The neighbourhood offers good restaurants (not too tourist-y), markets and shops.
Disliked: The bedroom is a bit cramped - there was no space for our luggage. No lift to the floor - the narrow stairs are a bit hard to climb with a large suitcase. There are no shutters or blackout curtains; we were there in the summer and from 5 AM there's far too much light to keep sleeping.
