Clean, friendly and comfortable stay...

Liked: Room was small in keeping with historic nature of building, but location was excellent for walking access to station, restaurants, zoo, and shops. Breakfast coffee and juice were good, as was the choice of bread, croissants and cheeses.
Disliked: Access to room was a little hazardous especially when carrying luggage. Corridor from lift emerged half-way up a steep, curving staircase. Cooked choices for breakfast were limited and disappointing.

Great location, bed and breakfast...

Liked: The location, breakfast and bed were all excellent. Also, we arrived very early on our first day, and were given our room straight away, which we really appreciated.
Disliked: Our “superior room” was over priced. It was dark, airless and very small. The TV did not work on our arrival. The receptionist tried to help but could not. She promised someone would be along next day to take a look (Sunday) or technician would come on Monday. For the three nights we stayed there, nothing happened and we had no TV. As seniors we would have appreciated watching in evenings. Complained but nothing was done. At $500 CA a night, we did not think this good value for money.

Disliked: Small room with noise from the A/C, even with the window closed. Room should be clearly marked as being below ground level in the description
