Disliked: Few wonky/disjointed cupboards in the room.

DON'T DO IT!

Disliked: I have waited 2 weeks to calm before sending this complaint.I am disappointed and very confused as to how and why this hotel's a Best Western Plus. We are disgusted and feel that we have been misled in believing that we had booked a decent hotel when infact it was absolutely filthy.We had previously stayed at the Best Western York House and had an amazing time therefore had planned to go back there, however I had booked the wrong hotel although I was not too concerned due to the Citrus being listed as Best Western Plus we obviously believed that it was an upgrade from the lovely Best Western York House.To our horror the room which I had paid an additional fee for the sea view as well as an extra £20 per night for our pomeranian (dog) had not been cleaned and there was no sign of any towels on toilet paper. The curtains had holes in them, and by the looks of it, the room hadn't been dusted in a while.We have stayed in many Best Western hotels over the years as we have always had confidence that we were going to stay in comfort and have great value for money.  October last year we stayed at the the Best Western plus Grim's Dyke Hotel  for two nights for our wedding preparations, which exceeded our expectations especially for being a Best Western PLUS as everything was of a higher standard.It is a real shame that we are only able to submit 5 images as I have countless images that reveal the truth of how horrid this place truly is.Our stay at the Citrus Eastbourne Best Western PLUS has only three redeeming points which are the location being by the seafront, the receptionist Leanne who did her best, providing us with towels and toilet paper and who even offered to clean the room (we declined and cleaned it ourselves) she remained professional throughout no doubt an embarrassing situation for her and Nancy in catering who was extremely friendly. There are NO other redeeming points. The place is a DISGRACE!!!

Do not book here it...

Liked: Nothing it was filthy and dated with health and safety issues everywhere. The only good thing was the refund.
Disliked: Everything.

2nd stay so disappointed...

Liked: Staff nice and friendly
Disliked: £20 extra for my dog. No remote control for the TV. Cost double the price from the night before. But booked it as I loved the night before and the hotel has alot of sad memories for meWas so disappointed the sink wouldn't empty so overflowed, there was a walk-in shower which was useless not powerful atall the bidywash lid was of and so wouldn't come out properly. Feet kept getting wet as floor was still wet for ages. No surface area to put anything. There was rubbish container under bed. Kettle wasn't working and my window was looking out to an inside area so there was no fresh air coming into room. Highly disappointed. I also paid for breakfast thinking it was a cooked breakfast. It was not so didn't bother going down for it. So dissatisfied.

Lovely can't complain with my...

Liked: The staff were very nice and friendly I got there late evening as the other hotel I booked had not gone through and so when I got there it was no longer available so I booked their other citrus hotel down the road... the room i booked was not available so they said I was upgraded to a twin single room and it was lovely and spacious nice bathroom with lovely shower all round nice vibe with the room and hotel in general. Good value for money.(except the extra £20 a night for my dog,which i think is alot). So yes lovely i thought n booked again for the next night. Which unfortunately was not so gd. I'll leave a review for that night on that booking review.
Disliked: I liked it all apart from the extra £20 a night for my dog!
