Excellent value and location

Liked: Excellent location, right next to a metro stop, a grocery store and lots of places to eat. Very walkable area as well, can really get all over DC quite easily from there. This was my first time staying at a CitizenM and I really liked it. It's clean and modern with a friendly staff, a bar and some great spots to hang out or work in the lobby. The rooms are pretty small, but they are designed to utilize the space well. Really liked the shower, the large, firm bed and the blackout blinds. Overall, excellent value for the price, and perfect for a solo traveler. It would work for two people as well, but might feel a little cramped if you're not used to being in close quarters with each other. I will look for this chain again the next time I book somewhere.
Disliked: Really have to get nitpicky to find any cons, but some of the light switches are kind of confusing. Sometimes I'd have to press them multiple times to get something to turn on or off, and some of them can actually be held down to adjust the amount of light, but it's not very clear that's a feature until you do it on accident. Not sure how I feel about the iPad either. It's kind of a neat idea, but it is a bit cumbersome to use it for many things, like the TV, as you have to tap several times to do what you want once the screen turns off -- would be easier to just use the remote. You can also use it to control the lights and blinds, but again, more convenient to just use the switches on the wall for that. It also has a camera on it, which feels a bit weird.

Modern hotel perfect for leisure...

Liked: I like the modern decor, the room is small but was functional . Everything was well thought of. There’s also a staff available and they’re not behind a counter ( theres a sense of being able to access them easier )
Disliked: The location was not close to my meetings. It’s not the type of hotel if you like being pampered ( having your own iron in the room ( it’s communal which I’ve never seen Before )

Liked: The vibe was fantastic brand new, very modern immaculate, and the staff was extraordinarily forthcoming.
Disliked: I was glad I was there with my grandson who was able to show me all the intricacies of being in a high tech room. Fun experiences, learning and worth the time.

Liked: Super cosy and arty hotel. Feels like home sitting in the lobby.
