We enjoyed our stay and...
Liked: Close to a Metro station and only one stop from the National Mall. The decor was quirky and fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant was comfortable.
Disliked: The rooms were rather small and the menu in the bar/restaurant was limited as far as food was concerned.

Liked: Self check in.
Disliked: The fact that the vent in our room started leaking, got all over some of our clothes, AND my husband slipped on the water that leaked, and all the staff offered us was a “free breakfast”

The euro-style room (small), cool...
Liked: So hip, such a cool atmosphere, fun, bright, and uplifting. Staff were easy going, yet attentive. Professional and helpful.

Disliked: Terrible experience with management and front desk staff. Despite having a credit card guarantee during the check in, they blocked our room access on day 2 over a $135 restaurant bill - no warning, no communication. We were forced to pay immediately just to get back into our room. Zero apology for the inconvenience.The restaurant and rooftop bar staff were excellent - courteous and professional. Unfortunately, the rude, unprofessional attitude of management ruined our stay.

Citizenm goes above and beyond!
Liked: On the evening of our stay, we were preparing to leave outside the hotel for an event and I experienced a rapid diabetic low blood sugar. I had nothing on me at the time to bring my blood sugar to a safe level, so my sister ran back into the hotel and frantically asked where she could get some juice or a cookie for me and the concierge on duty immediately responded, no questions asked, and my sister was able to get a cookie to me before my sugar dropped dangerously low. I wish I had gotten her name, so I could thank her for her help. It literally saved my life.
Disliked: No microwave or coffee maker. Bummer. We coped.
