The hotel was a great...

Liked: The person checking us in was helpful and pleasant, as was the girl serving drinks. She recommended a place to eat, which, I have to say, was spot on. The bar generated an atmosphere in the hotel.
Disliked: The room were small and the pilows could have been better quality/

Disliked: The room had actual moths inside. I have tried reaching our to their support for almost a month and they either ignore my emails or hang up the phone. I told them I am allergic to bugs and they give me a room with ones, amazing.

Best location!

Liked: It’s in an excellent location, right downtown and not in or next to the Tenderloin (unlike most SF hotels). The bed was big and very comfortable. The room had a great view and was totally quiet. The self check in machine couldn’t find my booking, but the staff were extremely helpful and sorted it in no time (I even ended up with a much larger room than I booked!). I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, so can’t comment on its quality, but there are lots of nice cafes within a few blocks - even a coffee shop that was open at 5am, which was great when I was getting the bus to Yosemite.
Disliked: I found controlling everything using the iPad in the room slightly annoying. I appreciate being able to control the light level and warmth, but the UI is really clunky. It actually worked a lot better when I downloaded the app on my phone. I also had trouble connecting to the chromecast on the tv, but again worked much better with the phone app. You might be waiting a little while for the elevators at busy times. But these are all minor complaints and overall a great stay!

A great hotel in a...

Liked: The whole experience was positive. The staff were great, the hotel was modern, it had a great smell and the rooms were very functional. The hotel is just around the corner from a cable-car station and also the BART station to get you to SFO. Having visited Fisherman's Wharf, we were definitely glad we stayed in the Union Square area rather than there! We would stay at this hotel again tomorrow.
Disliked: Just a bit annoyed that I missed out on my free drink with the Citizen M app. Obviously should have been more aware, but the staff could have mentioned it!
