citizenM New York Times Square

Had a great 2 day, 1 night stay at CitizenM in NYC with my daughter. Location was perfect. Hotel staff was excellent. Room, although small for some people, was perfect for us. My daughter loved the rain shower that changed colors. The breakfast we added for an additional charge was good. The decor was fun and funky!

Liked: Big bed; fun, youthful; perfect location!
Disliked: Small room.

Had a great stay; nice staff, always willing to help. They let us check in early which was a great thing because I had a broken foot and was on crutches and needed to put my luggage down. The hotel was right across the street from our show. So I went across the street with no problems. Hotel is in a perfect spot for what we needed - show, food and sleep. It was perfect and comfortable, very clean with free wifi.

Enjoy the staff they were...

Liked: The cleanliness was a great feature of this hotel. I love the room rooms have no carpet. I also enjoyed the location, which was within feet of most Broadway shows. It was also between 20 minutes walk to Saks, Fifth Avenue and other major department stores. It was less than a half of a block away from the closest subway station, which would take you to Canal Street, the world trade center, and all the way down to the ferries to see the Statue of Liberty
Disliked: Food was just ok, breakfast was decent!

Liked: Location. The shower has great water pressure. Quickly heats up.
Disliked: iPad controlled room. No kettle in the room.

The room was exactly what...

Liked: The room was small, but had plenty of storage for clothing and such. The room is very European style, compact, efficient, truly designed for sleeping and getting ready. Two major positives was the functionality of the iPad to control everything in the room and the bathroom. The iPad was Incredibly easy and intuitive. The bathroom, while small, had the best shower for the space provided. Overall, if you’re looking for a hotel in a very convenient location on Broadway and in the heart of uptown, you can’t do much better for the price.
Disliked: While the bed was big, there was access to it on only one side. If you’re older or less mobile and sharing the bed, may be difficult to access. Also, due to the size, there’s nowhere else to sit besides the bed. Additionally, the fridge was incredibly small. Be cognizant of that with leftovers and takeout and even just for beverages. A couple 20 oz bottles is all that will fit

Disliked: Very basic hotel, no staff around to help you check in. Tried changing a reservation and got yelled at by their customer service person, very inappropriate. Overpriced for what you get.

Loved it!

Liked: Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We got engaged and they gave us a card, drinks, breakfast and Prosecco on the house! Couldn’t do to much for you. Lots of recommendations. Felt like coming home. Amazing central location. Escape from the craziness of New York!
Disliked: Roof top bar could have had more selection on drinks, shots cocktails etc. tea and coffee facilities in the room.
