Good Hotel, Well Located, Pleasant...

Liked: There was much about this hotel that impressed me: they even had a free wine happy hour at 4.30 pm (though I skipped it). The welcome was warm, and though the building wasn't particularly interesting I liked my room - good light for reading and a manageable air-con machine. Natchitoches is a small town and everything you could want (river and shopping colonnade with restaurants, basically) was within a few minutes walk. (Incidentally I had an excellent and reasonably-priced steak fajita at the Mexican Patio Cantina & Grill on my first night.)
Disliked: Nothing really, though I found it odd that they had enclosed parking and charged for it. I took a gamble that auto theft wasn't a huge problem in Natchitoches and parked in the street - no problem.

Liked: Great family owned hotel with a high standard. Location was wonderful, parking easy, rooms and facilities were well kept and clean.

Liked: The staff was excellent. The food was good for breakfast. Our room was very clean. The bed was little hard, but it was still very comfortable. I absolutely love having a balcony and a outdoor patio.
Disliked: Softer bed

Liked: Location. We've stayed at this location previously. Service has declined.
Disliked: Declined service.Promised room was given away to another guest. Poor excuse provided. Claims the room was accidentally re-assigned since the system allowed the room to be unlocked before checking in.2 new rooms assigned were not cleaned, didn't have amenities, or weren't ready (i.e. pillows in chairs instead of beds. Pillows had no pillowcases, no towels in rooms, no kleenex, soap, etc.) No housekeeping. Had to make beds, clean bathrooms, switch soiled towels to get clean ones at the front desk, and empty trash. Reasoning provided: New housekeeping crew.
